a father's love

a father's love
I was privileged to witness the love of fathers for their kids.
The dad saw a pair of boots in Harley Davidson shop in the basement of Takashimaya
He looked at it for a long while... liked it... but it was very very expensive.
He kept looking it and as he exited the shop... 1 last longing look... And the way he shook his head spoke of how reluctant he was to give up the idea of buying that pair of boots...

Another father spent almost an hour trying to choose the watch that he believes his son will like.

It's not easy... is it? To try to get something for someone precious to you, though you know them, yet you do not really really know what they love...
To get the best for your kid, within your means... a sacrifice... yet... not overdoing it, because your other children might get jealous...
Sometimes... i wonder... does God struggle with that?

We want something. We scream shout pray fast cry entreat blackmail and rebel, just to get what we want, the thing that we think we need to complete our lives.

But does God struggle with the decision whether to give us, or not to give us what we want?

He knows all things... what is good for us, what is not.
He knows the right time to give us what we need, because if we get it too early, it may be bad for us. If we get it too late, it will not benefit us... isn't it so? So we get what we want, at the right time.

As the God who created everything... He is not worried about financial cost... but He would probably be concerned with how much would 'it' cost us?

Wrong things, or right things at the wrong time, do cost us... And the cost is in the form of opportunities, heartaches, pain, sorrow...

God knows when we are hurting and it breaks His heart when ours is broken too... isn't it so?

So, if it costs us, it costs God too... doesn't it?

It's not easy to be the Father... is it?
