Fighting the good fight of faith
I was thinking today about the life that i lived, in the midst of reading Dr Edwin Louis Cole's book "Real Man". He mentioned about Elijah, who won a decisive battle for God and yet fled from Jezebel after being threatened.
Quoting from the book, 3rd chapter of page 46: In his depression, he asked to die, saying and said, "It is enough now, O lord, take away my life; for i am no better than my fathers." Therein lies the 5-fold temptations that men suffer and in which the spirit of death desires to take hold of men's lives:
1. Depression
2. Despair
3. Inferiority
4. Resignation
5. Failure
If I remember correctly, Pastor Kong mentioned this also, that the day after the victory is as important as the the day of victory.
Most of us like to serve and, as a dialect saying goes: chut gao liao. (Which has a parallel in the English saying: give it your all! Likewise, the Japanese would urge each other on: Ganbatte! Isshokenmei ni ganbarou!)
And we usually do go all the way... Which is why the day after the battle is as important as the day of the battle.
There is good reason for this.
As we give our all... as we all come home victorious, after a grueling day of battling with office, we're left with almost nothing to give... the enemy creeps in silently to take us out...
Fatigue -> depression -> despair -> inferiority -> resignation -> failure
so guard your heart! After victory, celebrate, praise God, pray and rest... tomorrow will be a better day!

No problemo... i fully embrace my difference from others, as i believe that it is God's gift to me, though i will not hesitate to do my best to change, to be what God wants me to be.
