Warriors and Worship

It seems kind of odd to me and the musing has been in my mind for some time now... why is it that warriors are, more often than not, 'worshippers' rather than 'praisers'?

King David was the greatest warrior of his time, taking down Goliath with a stone, then winning victories over all Israel's enemies... but notice that he also wrote the Book of Psalms?

Only reason the write this is also because i am facing some challenge doing the choir 'assignment'... praying over it.
